Audit your week by task, not by job title. List what you actually do, then mark each activity as templated output, judgement work, or physical and relational work. Templated output is where AI lands first. If a large share of your week sits there, AI is already affecting your job, whether or not your employer has said so.

Why job titles mislead
Headlines talk about occupations disappearing. Employers do not remove occupations - they change what a role is expected to produce. Two people with the same title can be affected very differently depending on how their week is spent.
This is why a task audit beats any list of 'jobs AI will replace'.
The five-minute audit
- Write down every recurring activity in a normal week, with a rough time share.
- Mark each one: templated output, judgement and accountability, or physical and relational.
- Add up the templated share. That is your rough exposure.
- Circle any activity where a colleague has already started using an AI tool - that is the front line.
- Note anything in your week that requires someone to be answerable for the outcome. That is your defensible core.

- No. It means the value of that work is falling. The usual outcome is a changed role, not an empty desk - but it is a signal to move deliberately.
